The Firmpoly Standard
In the B2B landscape, trust is the foundational currency. Unlike consumer platforms where a bad review might mean a poor meal, a misleading B2B listing can result in catastrophic supply chain failures, data breaches, or significant financial loss.
Firmpoly does not operate as an open wiki. While businesses can submit their information for listing, every profile that receives our verification badge undergoes a stringent, multi-layered review process by our internal Trust & Safety team. This framework is designed to eliminate shell companies, fraudulent actors, and outdated directories from the discovery process.
Our 4-Step Verification Process
Before a company profile is marked as "Verified" on Firmpoly, it must successfully pass the following checks:
Digital Identity Authentication
We verify that the individual claiming or creating the profile has authorized access to the company's core digital infrastructure. This involves domain verification (DNS checks) and corporate email authentication to ensure they are an authorized representative of the entity.
Legal Entity Registration Check
Our team cross-references the submitted company name and registration details with official government databases and corporate registries (e.g., Secretary of State filings, Companies House, MCA) to confirm the business is legally incorporated and currently active.
Operational Footprint Verification
We investigate the physical and operational reality of the business. This includes verifying headquarters addresses via geospatial data, calling listed corporate phone numbers, and ensuring the company has a verifiable history of operations in their claimed industry.
Service & Certification Validation (Optional but Recommended)
For companies claiming specific industry certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA), our team requires official documentation or verifies the status directly with the issuing regulatory body before displaying the certification badge on their profile.
Understanding the Verification Badge
When you see the blue Firmpoly Verified badge on a company profile, it means the entity has passed our 4-step framework within the last 12 months. It signifies that the company is legally registered, the profile is managed by an authorized employee, and their core contact data is accurate.
Disclaimer: Verification indicates identity and operational legitimacy, but does not serve as a guarantee of future performance or financial solvency.
Continuous Audits & Revocation
Verification is not a one-time event. Firmpoly conducts periodic automated checks and manual audits of verified listings to ensure ongoing compliance with our Trust & Safety standards.
Badge Revocation: A company will lose its Verified status, and potentially face removal from the platform, under the following conditions:
- The company's legal status changes to dissolved or inactive.
- The domain associated with the corporate email expires or changes ownership.
- We receive actionable intelligence regarding fraudulent activity or severe legal misconduct.
- The company fails to respond to our annual verification renewal request.
Our Commitment to Data Quality
Maintaining a directory of millions of businesses requires constant vigilance. Rather than relying solely on manual reporting, Firmpoly employs proactive measures to keep our ecosystem clean.
Automated Scanning
Our proprietary systems continuously scan listed domains and contact information, flagging broken links, dead emails, or parked domains for immediate review and potential delisting.
Internal Review
Profiles exhibiting suspicious activity patterns or anomalous categorization are routed to our dedicated data hygiene team for manual investigation and remediation.
